Lillian A. Fawley, 93, of Proctorville, OH, formerly of Chillicothe passed from this life on Monday, Sept. 12, 2016 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, VV following a brief illness.  She was born Dec. 4, 1922 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Charles A. and Lena (Graves) Rusk.  On June 6, 1944 she married Darrell E. Fawley, Sr. who preceded her in death on April 7, 1999.

She is survived by a daughter, Susie Schneider, Proctorville, OH; sons, John C. (Deanna) Fawley, Georgetown, TX, Darrell E. “Dee”, Jr., (Annie) Fawley, Canal Winchester, OH and Mark Fawley, Chillicothe; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Fawley, Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David Fawley, a daughter-in-law, Trudi Fawley, a sister, Jean Immell and a brother, Charles F. Rusk.

Mrs. Fawley was a graduate of the Mt. Carmel School of Nursing and was an RN at Mt Carmel Hospital in Columbus and later at the Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC.  She was a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday with a Wake Service at 7:00 pm.
