Wilma Graves Obituary

Wilma Jean Graves, 84 of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at her residence.  She was born Jan. 5, 1936 in Delaware, OH, the daughter of William and Emily (Hay) Porter.  On May 29, 1954 she married Marvin Graves who preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2020.

Also surviving are daughters, Linda Case, Richmond Dale, and Crystal (Rick) Arthurs, Westerville, OH; a son, Rev. Bill (Marilu) Graves, Ray; grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Rister, Joshua (Sheree) McFadden, Tucker Arthurs, Barbee (Austin) St. Pierre and Mindee (Aaron) Batt; and great-grandchildren, Danielle McFadden, Ashton Rister and Linda Sue Rinehart; and a brother, Robert (Teresa) Porter, Ashville.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son-in-law, Jim Case, a great-grandchild, Shiloh McFadden, sisters, Eda May Moritz and Virginia Wheeler, a brother, Clayton Porter, sister-in-law, Ollie Porter and twin infant siblings, James, and Anna.

Mrs. Graves was a 1954 graduate of Allensville High School.  She was a member of the Jefferson Ave. Church of Christ in Christian Union.  She had been an employee of Woolworth’s, General Electric, Circleville, and Ohio Wesleyan University, and was self-employed, retiring in 1986.  She was a member of the Ross Co. Senior Citizens, had served as a board member and was the Ross County Senior of the Year in 2010.

Private visitation and funeral services for Marvin and Wilma will be held at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Mark Clendaniel officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  The funeral service will be live streamed on the funeral home website (www.fawcett-palmer.com) beginning at 11:00 am on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.  If the broadcast is interrupted for any reason, a video recording will be available.
