Obituary

Thomas Alan Hinton, 71, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Monday June 20, 2022 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.  He was born on August 4, 1950 in Chillicothe, to the late Gladys Hinton.

Surviving is his wife; Cheryl, children; Sonya (Jay) Barnett and Heather (Toby) Lines, grandchildren; Suzy Hinton, Carissa (Samuel) Mitchell, Travis (Kimberly) Carter, and Joshua Hines, sisters; Marla (John) Harris, and Susan (Bruce) Gaudreau, special sister-in-law; Joy (Kelly) Spetnagel, and puppies; Frosty (AKA Whitedog) and Doodle.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather Camp.

In 1967 Tom enlisted in the United States Army, to become a combat engineer in the Vietnam War.  Later, to work at the Chillicothe VA for 17 years as a high functioning vocational teacher.

Tom was a very caring, loving, kind spirited, and very proud of his military service.  He will be greatly missed.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday June 24, 2022 in Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Aaron Satterfield, officiating.  Military rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling hours will not be observed.  The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hinton Family.
