Shirley Hupp

Shirley I. Hupp, 84, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at her residence following a brief illness. She was born March 2, 1937, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Lawrence and Bernice (Jornigan) Peters. On September 9, 1956, she married Edwin L. Hupp who preceded her in death on April 30, 2020.

Surviving is her daughter, Anna L. (John) Thornton, Kingston; sons, Stephen L. Hupp, Parkersburg, WV, and Robert E. Hupp, Elliott City, MD; grandchildren, John Thornton, III, Mary Thornton and Mark Thornton; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kristine (Brad) Johnson, Green Bay, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Cindy Hupp.

Mrs. Hupp had been an employee of First National Bank, Chillicothe and for Dr. Pocock. She was a proud 1995 graduate of Ohio University-Chillicothe. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
