Roger D. Conn Obituary

Roger D. Conn, 74, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born February 4, 1947, in Ross County, the son of the late Virgil O. and Mary Louise (McGraw) Conn. On September 14, 1985, he married Diana Gordon Crow, who survives.

Also surviving are his children, Roger C. (Rhonda) Conn, Angela (Richard) Cottrill, Jada (David) Yocum and Julie (Scott) Tyler, and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepson, Todd A. Crow, brothers, Billy Conn, Ezra W. Conn, and a sister, Wyvetta Conn Montgomery.

Roger was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 577 and was a plumbing inspector in Springfield, Ohio and Circleville, Ohio. He was a member of American Legion Post 62. Prior to his illness, he attended High Praise Ministries in Jackson and Open Door Church in Chillicothe.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Adena Hospice, especially to Emily, Bill, Chip and Dr. Seidensticker for their care and kindness during Roger’s illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Richard Cottrill officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with Military Honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. Calling hours will not be observed. The family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
