Rebecca June (Haines) Eselgroth, 85, passed away on February 27, 2022, after a year-long battle with cancer. Becky was a beloved wife to Ronald F. Eselgroth for more than 64 years and partner in their dairy farm, Shawnee Brook Holsteins. A graduate of Frankfort High School, she was a smart and strong woman with many talents, a consummate homemaker and businesswoman. She greatly enjoyed her family and freely shared genealogy information with her many Wilson and Haines cousins.
Becky was born on June 9, 1936, to Marion Tiffin Haines and Mary Elizabeth Wilson Haines. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Rodney Haines, and sister Marianna Gay Haines. In addition to husband Ronald, Becky is survived by daughters Carolyn Eselgroth (Tom Counts) and Susan Gearhart; grandchildren Karl Gearhart, Keith Gearhart (Rebecca Rudawitz), Kate Gearhart, Ken Gearhart, Abby Counts, and Rachel Counts; great grandchildren Kinze Gearhart, Kasen Gearhart, and Kaley Gearhart; brother-in-law Harold Eselgroth, sister-in-law Shirley Haines, nieces Lori Haines and Libby Zuege, and nephew Steve Haines.
The family wishes to thank National Church Residences Hospice caretakers who provided so much love and support during Becky’s final days.
Calling hours will be on Friday, March 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. at FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME, 77 E.
