Nancy Jean Bogan, 80, a lifelong resident of Chillicothe before moving to Clarkston, Michigan to live with her daughter, passed from this life on Saturday evening, May 16, 2015 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was born February 13, 1935 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Clarence and Emma Jean (Griesheimer) Kuntz. On February 27, 1955 she married William J. Bogan who preceded her in death July 10, 2001.
She was the beloved mother of Deborah (The Rev. Jonathan) Heierman, Clarkston, MI; David (Olga) Bogan, Chandler, AZ and Daniel (Luise Woelflein) Bogan, Anchorage, AK; proud grandmother of Adam (Maddy) Heierman and Nathan Heierman; dear sister of Martha (Gary) Iles, Circleville. Her parents preceded her in death.
Nancy was a retired secretary for the Chillicothe City Schools and was a lifelong church organist and pianist.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 21, 2015 with Rev. Kurt King officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Lutheran Church, 6805 Blue Grass Dr., Clarkston, MI 48346 to be used for the mission of Haydom Hospital, Mbulu, Tanzania.
