Marjorie Ann (Hart) McAbee

Marjorie Ann McAbee, 77, of Chillicothe passed from this life Tuesday April 12, 2022 following an extended illness.  She was born on May 5, 1944 in Ross County to the late Benjamin and Mildred (Young) Hart.  On January 31, 1984 she married Douglas McAbee who survives.

Also surviving are step-daughters; Candace Compher, Chillicothe, and Sandra (Tim) Arledge, Kingston, step-sons; Randy McAbee, Chillicothe, and Andy McAbee, Kingston, a nephew whom she raised; Jamie Hart, Chillicothe, 14 step-grandchildren, 22 step-great grandchildren, brothers; Kenny (Pam) Hart, Chillicothe, Bill Hart, Lancaster, Charlie Hart, Chillicothe, and George (Nancy) Hart, Bainbridge, and long time friend Shelby (Pete) Shaffer.  She was preceded in death by sisters; Evelyn Ankrom, Ethel Morris, Betty Carroll, and Linda Hart, and a granddaughter Tonya Jenkins.

Marjorie was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  She was an avid bowler and card player, and enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday April 19, 2022 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME, with Pastor Chris Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday.  An online memorial is available at www.fawcett-palmer.com
