Linda L. Hilsheimer

Linda L. Hilsheimer, 79, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Tues. Nov. 7, 2023 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.  She was born on May 29, 1944 in Chillicothe to the late Howard H. and Lucille (Rhinehart) Hilsheimer.

Surviving is her life partner of 43 years, Michele Stemple, of Chillicothe, nephews, Johnny Kellough and Matt Humphrey, cousins, Donna Bellaw, John Ward, Becky Rousch, Ellen Hilsheimer, and Mary Jean Cameron, extended family and friends, Becky Broyer, D.J. Park, and Ronnie Kellough, and her beloved dog and cat, Holly and Prince.

Linda graduated from Huntington High School in 1962 and attended Brown Technical College.  She had worked as a Medical Technologist for 49 years for the Adena Health System and Ohio Health.  Linda had been active in many organizations including, the Ross County Land Preservation, St. Jude, the Arbor Day Foundation, Boys Town, and National Parks, where she made monthly donations, and was a member of the Ohio Beef Association, and the Ohio State Beekeepers Association. She was very proud to receive the Land Preservation Award for Hilsheimer Farm in 2018.  Linda loved wildlife and cattle, and will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Bud Lytle, officiating.  Burial will follow in Bishop Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital in Linda’s memory.
