John F. “Bud” Meeker, 86, of Londonderry passed from this life on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family after a 7-year battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born April 24, 1937 to John W. and Evangeline (Perry) Meeker. He married his High School sweetheart, Juanita (Murray) Meeker, who survives. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on May 18th, 2023.
He was blessed with two daughters and their husbands, Cheryl and Kevin Hill, Jody and Dan Clary; one son and his wife, Jeff and Becky Meeker; his seven grandchildren, Christy (Jayson) Howard, Lisa (Brad) Montgomery, Amy (Andy) Smith, Scott (Kelli) Clary, John (Patricia) Clary, Ross (Kaitlyn) Meeker and Lucas (Ashley) Meeker; and his great-grandchildren, Mason Montgomery, Madison, Matthew and Allie Baker, Brooklyn Worthen, Mavrick, Araya and Kenley Smith, Kylee, Bryson, Averi and Corbin Clary, Joel and Noah Meeker and a baby on the way and Carson and Camden Meeker. Also surviving are his sister, Sue Kirk; and his brother-in-law, Joe Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Martha Fisher and brother-in-law, Bruce Kirk.
Bud appreciated the support of his buddies, Buzz, Bobbin and Gary.
He enjoyed over 50 years of farming in the Londonderry area. Bud served as Liberty Township clerk for 12 years, was the owner of Buffalo Trail Campground and was retired from Mead Paper. He was a past member of the Ross County Farmers Club and was a 50-year member of Scioto Lodge #6, F&AM.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2023 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday. Memorial contributions in Bud’s memory may be made to Adena Hospice, 2077 Western Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
