John Lee Campbell, 80, of Vigo, went to be with the Lord on February 28, 2021 at his residence, following a brief illness. He was born on December 31, 1940 in Londonderry, OH to William and Elma (Skaggs) Campbell. On May 28, 1960 he married his loving wife, Molly Evans who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter; Marilou Campbell, Columbus, sons; John (Terri) Campbell, Frankfort, Carl (Robie) Campbell, Vigo, and Mike (Cathleen) Campbell, Chillicothe, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter, sisters; Thelma Culshaw, Sue Graves, Debbie Campbell, Laverne Dotson, and Jeanette Campbell, brothers; Lawrence Campbell, Ovid Campbell, and Bill Campbell, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Sandra S. Campbell, a sister, Ida Cravens, a brother, Ralph Campbell, and a great-granddaughter, Keesta Campbell.
John was a 1959 graduate of Southeastern High School. He retired from RCA in 2002, after 30 years of service. He was employed by Instant Auto, and a member of the Moose Lodge and IBEW.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday March 4, 2021 in the New Life Church of Christ CCCU, 601 Market St., Richmond Dale, OH, with Pastor Chuck Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday. Social distancing and masks are requested.
