Jeffrey Ross Wood

Jeffrey Ross Wood passed from this life on March 3, 2023.  Born January 23, 1951 in Columbus, OH, he was the oldest son of the late Claude and June Wood.

On July 7, 1969 his patriotism led him to join the United States Navy.  He became a Corpsman and spent his 9 years of military time with the United States Marines.  Afterwards, he operated Long’s Ambulance Company, then started his own ambulance company Medic Transport.  He brought Original Mattress Factory to Chillicothe and owned Mattress Etc.

Jeff was an avid bowler winning many tournaments; enjoyed fishing, and of course The Buckeyes.

Survived by wife Joscelyn and her family who treated Jeff like a brother, Donnie and Linda White & family, Dean White & family, Dave and Jeannine Diehl, Steve and Neenah Solér & family, Steve and Anne Musick & family, and Johnida White, and special nieces, Amy, Andi, and Maloree.

Survived by brother, Daryl Wood, sister, Susan Walton, sister-in-law, Brenda Wood and other dear family members.  Special friends Jim (late) and Nancy Decker, Richard Johnson, and Gary Utech.

Special caregivers, John (Therapy Plus), Kelsey, Stephanie, Sue Ann, Tabitha, Teresa, and Whitney.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother, Thomas Wood, brother-in-law, Dana Neal White, nephews, Jason White and Stephen Solér, and niece Deidre Solér.

Jeff’s resting place is near the shore of his family’s beloved Minnesota lake home.  The musky hunter has gone fishing.
