Obituary
Arnetta J. Steele, 93, of Marion, formerly of Chillicothe passed from this life Friday, August 11, 2023 in Wyndmoor of Marion following an extended illness. She was born July 21, 1930 in Hamden, Ohio to the late Earl J. and Linda (Arnett) Woltz. On September 12, 1953 she married James W. Steele who preceded her in death on November 16, 1990.
Surviving are sons, Tim (Susan) Steele, Delaware, OH, David Steele, Kingsport, TN; grandchildren, Heather Robinson, Emily Steele, Daniel (Heather) Steele, Andy Hastings; great grandchildren, Brooklyn Robinson, Hannah Steele, and Peyton Robinson. She was preceded in death by a son, Pastor James L. Steele.
Arnetta was a member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church. A 1948 graduate of Harlen High School in Harlen, Kentucky, she was an avid bowler and enjoyed walking every day until her health did not allow her to do so. In her younger years, she enjoyed fishing. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Steve Whitaker officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. You may sign Arnetta’s online memorial at www.fawcett-palmer.com.
