Zella E. ("Betty") Bartlett

March 22, 1919 — April 2, 2015

Zella Elizabeth “Betty” Bartlett, 96, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Thursday evening, April 2, 2015 at her residence.  She was born March 22, 1919 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of Clarence J. and Suzanna C. (Cast) Titus.  On October 4, 1952 she married Robert F. Bartlett who preceded her in death on March 20, 1990.

Surviving are her daughters, Georgia (Jerry) Hall, Linda (John) Clay, Sandra (James) Woods, all of Chillicothe, Judith (Robert) Suddeth, St. Augustine, Florida, Carol LaGore, Londonderry and Bobbie Jo (Bernie) Richardson and Sara (Kevin) Holloway, all of Chillicothe; a son, Charles W. “Bill” (Jody) Smith, Atlanta, Ohio; 15 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Her parents, a daughter, Betty Sue Peterson and 2 grandchildren preceded her in death.

Mrs. Bartlett was an employee of Alcoa/WearEver with 25 years of service, retiring in 1982.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was a Past President of the Hopeton Village Residents Association.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading and will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 6, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Carol Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Monday.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Hopeton Village for their care and devotion.
