Wilma Josephine (Bentley) Knight

Wilma Josephine Knight, 86, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Wednesday evening, May 13, 2015 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.  She was born March 14, 1929 in Gaston County, NC, the daughter of Edgar D. and Lucille (Pruitt) Bentley.  On June 14, 1947 she married Henry S. Knight, Sr. who preceded her in death on September 20, 1990.

Surviving are her daughters, Lynn (Terry) Russell, Chillicothe and Teresa (James) Laux, Circleville; her sons, Luther (Cheryl) Knight, Valparaiso, IN, Greg (Susan) Knight and Rex (Bev) Knight, both of Chillicothe; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jim (Dorothy) Bentley, Hebron, IN, Don Bentley, Belmont, NC and Michael (Teresa) Bentley, Gastonia, NC and many nieces and nephews.  Her parents, a daughter, Iris Elaine Knight, her sons, Henry S. Knight, Jr. and Alan C. Knight, an infant brother and sisters, Becky Ard and Diane Holcomb preceded her in death.

Mrs. Knight had served as a nursing assistant at the Porter Memorial Hospital in Valparaiso, IN.  She was a member of the Sunrush Church of Christ and will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and her family.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. James Rankhorn officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Margaret’s Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home form 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday.
