Willie Nell Sprouse

Willie Nell Sprouse, 81, of Chillicothe, passed from this life, 5:30 am, Tuesday, May 15, 2007 in the Heartland of Chillicothe Nursing Facility following an extended illness. She was born January 1, 1926 in Winnfield, LA, the daughter of the late William H. and the late Rosella Wilson Berry. November 19, 1945, she married her devoted husband of more than 61 years, Raymond D. Sprouse, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Steven Poling, Chillicothe; son and daughter-in-law Raymond D. "Dave" and Susan Sprouse Jr., Channahon. IL; a son-in-law and his wife Harlyn and Beverly Schmidt, Manteno, IL; seven grandchildren, Tracey A. ( Wesley) Lamm, Travis A. (Pam) Poling, Lanetta (Ben) Greenlee, Tricia A. (Brian) Moore, Kristin Sprouse, Heather Sprouse, and Cameron Sprouse; 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. One daughter Yvonnie Lee Schmidt, one sister Lee Oville Wright, and three brothers, Moses J. Berry, Ottis Berry and Howard Berry preceded her in death. Mrs. Sprouse was a devoted homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and a cherished member of Crossroads Church of Christ in Christian Union. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM, Friday, May 18, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass & Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 PM Thursday.
