William "Mike" Hummel

William M. “Mike” Hummel, 51, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 following an automobile accident. He was born February 27, 1962 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of William M. and Ruth Eileen (Hatfield) Hummel.
Surviving is his mother, Eileen Spetnagel; his long time special friend, Johna Pulver; his sister, Cathy (Randy) Hurtt, all of Chillicothe; a step-sister; 3 step-brothers; a step niece, and niece and nephews, Tony Clary, Megan Clary and Michael Hurtt; a great-nephew, Lucas and his beloved canine friends, Little Buddy and Sambo. His father and step-father, Russell Spetnagel preceded him in death.
Mike was a self employed construction worker. He loved carpentry and enjoyed building and working with his hands. He had a big heart and enjoyed helping his family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 18, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Reverend Tim Marhoover officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Sunday.
