Wendal L. Farrar

Wendal Lee Farrar, 75, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Wednesday evening, August 19, 2015 in Adena Regional Medical Center.  He was born January 1, 1940 in McArthur, Ohio, the son of Robert and Olive B. (Mount) Farrar.  On June 21, 1974 he married Shirley A. Hupp who survives.

Surviving are his step-daughter, Candace Zellers, of Chillicothe; 2 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren and brothers-in-law, Charles A. Hupp, of Florida and Alan R. Hupp, of Kentucky.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Farrar was a U. S. Navy veteran and was a 29 year employee of Kenworth, retiring in 2005.  He was a member of Orient Lodge 321 F&AM, Waverly, Aladdin Shrine, Columbus, Ross County Shrine Club and American Legion Post 757.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, August 24, 2015 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Rick Goodman officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am until the hour of service on Monday, with a Masonic Service at 12:00 noon.
