Walter J. Woods, Jr., 74, of Circleville, passed from this life Monday morning, June 10, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born Nov. 17, 1938 in Chillicothe to the late Walter J. Sr., and Sarah Jane Davis Woods. On Dec. 6, 1959 he married Nicola K. Dearth, who preceded in him death on July 20, 1984.
Surviving is his lifetime partner, Sandra Williams, Circleville; daughters, Katina (Jack) Lukacs, Dayton; and Lori J. Woods (Lorranie Rogers), Lancaster; sons, Gregory Woods, Albany, OR, and Timothy (Heidi) Woods, Amanda, OH; grandchildren; Matt, Tyler, Marshall, Logan, Lauren, Emily, Erin, Cara, Matthew, and Jonathan; 18 great-grandchildren; special friends, Austin and Autumn, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Woods, and sisters Bonnie Amos and Thelma Woods.
Mr. Woods was employed by Mead Paper as a Millwright, and was also life long farmer and gardener. He was a member of the Richmond Dale Order of Odd Fellows, and a long time member of Lake Royce.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Andy Amos officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mound Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
