Virginia P. Walker

Virginia P. Walker, 84, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Monday morning, May 10, 2010 at her residence. She was born Apr. 3, 1926 in Pickaway County, the daughter of Carter and Mysie (Hupp) Prince. On Dec. 8, 1945 she married Charles Santford Walker who preceded her in death Sept. 13, 1963. Surviving are her children, Barbara (William) Dobbins, Los Angeles, CA, Deborah (Robert) Teilhet, Kennesaw, GA, David "Pete" (Jennifer K.) Walker, Frankfort, Martha Walker and Elizabeth Anne (Steven) Riggin, all of Chillicothe, 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters, Kathryn Noble, Columbus and Janice Clarke, Chillicothe and brothers, Norman Prince and Owen Prince, both of Washington CH and Dr. Loren Prince, Columbus. Her parents, a sister, Mary Alice DeLong and a brother, Marvin Prince preceded her in death. Mrs. Walker had been an employee of Albers Grocery and had retired from Wear Ever Aluminum. She was a member of the Chillicothe Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Adena Regional Medical Center, serving 5,032 hours in 18 years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, May 14, 2010 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor John Burris officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Adena Health System.
