Virginia Lee Leedom, 87, of Kingston, passed from this life on Saturday evening, Aug. 11, 2012 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 28, 1924 in Ross County, the daughter of Guy and Mary (Barnes) Imler. On Nov. 15, 1947 she married Paul Leedom who survives.
Also surviving is a daughter, Connie Carmean, Hallsville; grandchildren, Clay and wife, Cheryl Carmean, Grove City, Stacey Carmean, Hallsville and Channin Carmean and fiancé, Chad Montgomery, Kingston; 7 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Guy and wife, Gloria McQuaide, Chillicothe. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Earl David Carmean, a great-grandchild, Clark David Carmean and a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Edwin Ault.
Mrs. Leedom was a homemaker and was an avid collector. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 in Bethel Cemetery with Pastor Tim Robertson officiating, under the direction of the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
