Virginia Carver, 85, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Saturday morning, Oct. 24, 2009 in Pleasant Hill Manor, Piketon following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 18, 1924 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Paul and Hannah Kengle On Sept. 22, 2959 she married Vanis C. Carver, who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 2002. Surviving are sisters-in-law, Maxine Garrison and Norma Vernice Penisten, both of Chillicothe, a host of nieces and nephews and good friends, Joy and Larry Cox, Chillicothe. He parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Margaret Kengle, a brother, John Kengle and brothers-in-law, Everett and Harold Carver preceded her in death. Mrs. Carver was a retired beautician, operating her own establishment for several years. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral home with Deacon George Lovinsheimer officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday.
