Violet Fortin

Violet Fortin, 74, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, 2007 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born Sept. 7, 1933 in Glover, MI, the daughter of John F. and Muriel (Lehman) Umphrey. On July 9, 1955 she married William H. Fortin who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Cindi Decker, Columbia, TN, a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Kendra Fortin, Bethel, OH, 3 grandchildren and a sister, Carolyn Cousins, Sterling, MI. Her parents and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Fortin was a school teacher in Michigan prior to moving to Ohio. She was a member of the Community of Christ. Private services will be held at the discretion of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.
