Viola M. Prickett

Viola M. Prickett, 97, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Saturday morning, Sept. 12, 2009 in Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born Sept. 24, 1911 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Marshall and Elsie (Barnes) Seymour. On Mar. 14, 1934 she married Clarence Prickett who preceded her in death June 21, 1973. Surviving are daughters, Shirley J. Pence and Sharon L. Hedrick, a son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd V. and Connie Prickett, all of Chillicothe, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3, great-great grandchildren, a sister and brother-in-law Betty and Wilson Black, Columbus and very special friends, Harold and Wanda True, Chillicothe. Her parents, 6 sisters and a brother preceded her in death. Mrs. Prickett was a homemaker. She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Willard McCray officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
