Vernon C. Sheets

Vernon C. Sheets, 70, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday afternoon, Mar. 29, 2008 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born May 3, 1937 in Wellston, OH, the son of Charles and Verna (Bell) Sheets. In 1975 he married Ruth Wright who survives. Also surviving is his mother-in-law, Bessie Wright, a daughter, Lorie Ann Moody, a son, Harvey Lowry, all of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Jacob, Jacquelyn and Julia Moody, a brother, Harold (Linda) Sheets, Circleville and a good friend, Randy Cooper, Chillicothe. His parents, 2 sisters, Margie Cydrus and Betty Elliott and 3 brothers, Robert, Andy and Clint Sheets preceded him in death. Mr. Sheets was an assistant supervisor for Scioto Township with 26 years of service. He was a member of AFSCIO Local 7 and had attended the Bible Baptist Community Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Apr. 2, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Pastor Edward Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation of Adena Health System.
