Velma Endlich

Velma Taylor Endlich, 83, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday evening, Dec. 10, 2011 in the Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born Apr. 16, 1928 in Hazelhurst, GA, the daughter of William and Lessie (Morris) Taylor. On July 12, 1946 she married John Fout who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1973. On Dec. 5, 1973 she married Kenneth Endlich who preceded her in death Aug. 26, 1990. Surviving are daughters, Terry (Cecil Gregory) Fout and Lannette Walburn, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Gretchen (Nelson Waight) Walburn, Joseph (Tifonie) Walburn and Jillian (Jim) Flippen; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Liam and Quinn Flippen and Nelson "Kai" Waight II and her church family. Her parents and 16 sisters and brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Endlich was a retired employee of J.C. Penney. She was a long-time member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, active in many church activities. Velma was a member of the Story Place Garden Club, the Red Hat Society and the Century Club. She enjoyed gardening and loved her Scottie dogs, Mackie, Jock and Mackie. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Steve Gage officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Wednesday. Contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
