Velma J. Currier

Velma J. Currier, 89, of Chillicothe, passed from this life early Wednesday morning, Dec. 22, 2010 in the Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was born Feb. 25, 1921 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Lawrence and Estella (Dougherty) Currier. Surviving is a niece, Jenny Miller of WA, nephews, Alfred Currier of WA and Richard Currier of Chillicothe. Her parents and brothers, Milton Currier and Lawrence Currier, Jr. preceded her in death. Miss Currier was employed as a private domestic for many years in the Chillicothe area. In keeping with her wishes, her body is being donated to The Ohio State University. There will be no funeral services or calling hours. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Ross County Humane Society.
