Trudy Jane Woods

Trudy Jane Woods, 64, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Wednesday evening, Mar. 2, 2011 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born July 8, 1946 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Arthur and Virginia (Wilson) May. On Aug. 8, 1964 she married Willard "Doc" Woods who survives. Also surviving are her sons, Kelly (Teresa) Woods, Dayton, OH and Bradley (Michelle) Woods, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Tyler, Michael and Maddox "Maddy" Woods, a sister, Sally May Smith and a brother, Artie (Rita) May, all of Chillicothe, nieces and nephews, Lynnie, Sarah, Jenna, Ginny, Joanne, Holly, Abe, Yvonne and Logan, a dear friend, Janie DeBord who added years to her life by her gracious donation of a kidney, her beloved canine companion, Mitzi and many friends. Her parents and a sister, Janet May Huff preceded her in death. Trudy had been the manager of Glicks Furniture in Chillicothe with 32 years of service. She was a life member of St. Judes Hospital and Pilot Dogs. She enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church where a Homecoming Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, Mar. 6, 2011 with Pastor J. Troy Gray officiating. Following cremation, private interment will be held at the discretion of the family. Friends may call at the church from 4:00 pm until the hour of service on Sunday. Trudy enjoyed all kinds of flowers. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME is serving the family.
