Timothy Oliver Park, 65, of South Bloomingville, passed from this life on Friday, September 19, 2014 in the arms of his wife in Adena Regional Medical center following a brief illness.  He was born October 24, 1948 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Melvin H. Sr. and Mary K. (Hatfield) Park.  In 1987 he married Patricia A. (Betkey) Eblin who survives.

Also surviving are daughters, Mary A. (Todd) Eblin, Chillicothe and Ann-Marie (Brian) Cozine, Radcliff, KY; step-sons, Martin R. (Tamara S.) Eblin, Todd D. (Mary A.) Eblin, Charles E. Eblin and Shane A. (Jennifer) Eblin, all of Chillicothe; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Debbie (Darrold) Jones and Sherry (Don) Vinson, all of Herrin, IL; brothers, Melvin (Vicki) Park, Jr.,  Wayne Park and Jeff Park, all of Chillicothe and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren, Daniel Sherman Eblin and Jeremy Cole Eblin, sister-in-law, Melnie Park and a nephew, Eric James Hensgen.

Mr. Park was a retired Veterans Representative with the Ohio Department of Employment Services.  He was a 17 year veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and was the recipient of the Bronze Star.  He was a member of American Legion Post 62 and AMVETS Post 4.  Tim was always willing to assist his Amish neighbors.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Ray Mann officiating.  Military honors will be performed by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  The family requests memorial contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
