Thomas L. Pigge, 72, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday afternoon, Jan. 4, 2009 at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer. At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Following cremation, final services will be at the discretion of the family. He was born Jan. 10, 1936 in Newport, KY, the son of Jarvis M. and Myrtle V. (Tate) Pigge. On July 4, 2006 he married Tracy Compher who survives. Also surviving is a step-daughter, Amber Compher, Bainbridge, a sister, Arlene Whitaker, Ashville, a brother, Jarvis (Sharon) Pigge, Grove City, nieces and nephews, Bernard and Danny Whitaker, Aleta Noecker, Samantha and Charlie Miller and Mindy and Megan Whitaker and many special friends. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Pigge was a superintendent for Decker Construction Co., retiring in 2001. He was a USAF veteran and was a member of Eagles Aerie 600, the Loyal Order of the Moose and Operating Engineers Local 18. "For my love, my friend, my life, no words can express how my heart aches to hear a silly saying or song. You have left all of your family and special friends with memories to cherish. You were loved by so many." In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial fund established at the Citizens National Bank, 33 W. Main St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
