Theresa Ellen (Caplinger) Dixon

Theresa Ellen Dixon, 85 of Hilliard, Ohio, formerly of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Friday, March 10, 2023 at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born June 22, 1937 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Clark A. and Gevetta (Gatto) Caplinger.  On February 27, 1964 she married Robert L. Dixon who preceded her in death July 18, 2010.

Surviving is her daughter, Claire (Kevin) Lacey, Galloway, Ohio; her son, Aaron (Debie) Dixon, Indian Lake, Ohio; her grandson, Garrett Dixon; her special cousin, Melba Linn, Ashville, Ohio and several nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Mrs. Dixon had been employed by the Chillicothe Telephone Company and by Highlights for Children in Columbus.  She was a member of the Boulevard Presbyterian Church in Grandview and the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority, O.E.S. Loraine Chapter #1 and the AREME Club #11.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:15 pm on Thursday, March 16, 2023 in Grandview Cemetery with Martin Berisford officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Thursday, prior to the service.  Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association (www.alz.org).
