Thelma Leuedda (Woods) Harrington

Thelma Leuedda “Lou” Harrington, 90, of Chillicothe passed from this life on Saturday evening, March 3, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born September 23, 1925 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Thurman and Adah (Roush) Woods.  On January 3, 1944 she married John W. Harrington who preceded her in death in 1987.

Surviving is her loving companion, Oscar “Buddy” Colvin, Chillicothe; daughters, Violet Green, Ashland, KY and Linda (Melvin) Jones, Chillicothe; sons, Leroy Colvin and Tom Colvin, both of Chillicothe; a grandson, Chad Smith, Dayton and several other grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Catherine Clipner, Chillicothe and a brother, Roger Woods, Manassas, VA.  Her parents, a daughter, Pam Smith, a son, Don Colvin, a sister and 4 brothers preceded her in death.

Lou was a homemaker and a member of the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary.  She will be remembered as a devoted companion, mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jay Neff officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Thursday.
