Tamara Lynn Speakman

Tamara Lynn Speakman, 45, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly at 10:17 a.m., Thursday November 28, 2024 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.  She was born on March 18, 1979 in Cincinnati, Ohio.  On March 15, 2008 she married Timothy Speakman, who survives.

Also surviving are her parents, Mary Jo Peele, Leah Bobb-ltt, and William Austin, her daughters, Mykal Austin, Taryn Austin, Jayonna Badger, and Olivia Badger, step-daughter, Jordan Johnson and son-in-law Brandon Johnson, grandmother, Serena Logan, grandfather, Gene Logan, aunt, Tonya Bretz, sisters, Monica Watkins, Jessica Peele, and Kayla Roach, brother, Joseph Austin and his wife Lisa, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Josephine Ferguson.

Tamara was a graduate of Chillicothe High School.  She had worked for C.C.I. in Chillicothe, and was well respected by her coworkers and peers.  She held multiple positions in the department, including Lieutenant.

Tamara was known for her generosity, compassion, and empathy for all members of her family and friends.  She could light up a room with her comedic stories, or hold your hand and tell you it was going to be okay if you were going through hard times.  She always made sure anyone that stopped by had a warm, loving meal to take home with them.

Tamara’s memory will remain in the hearts of her family and those she touched. Her passing will be deeply mourned by all that were fortunate enough to know her, for she is the most precious angel God has gained.

Private services will be held at the discretion of the family.
