Steven E. Vest

Steven E. Vest, 65, of Kingston, passed from this life on Tuesday February 27, 2024 in the Adena Regional Medical Center.  He was born on July 17, 1958 in Chillicothe to Charles and Virginia (Peterson) Vest.

Surviving is his mother, Virginia Vest, Chillicothe, a daughter, Autumn Ashcraft, Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kaylin (Stephen) Berton, and Tanner Ashcraft, a great granddaughter, Everlee Ashcraft, sisters, Donna (Eric) Caldwell, Chillicothe, Beverly (Tom) Langer, Dickerson, TX; brothers, Fred (Gayla) Vest, Winter Garden, FL; and Charles Vest, Chillicothe, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, and sons, Steven E. Vest, Jr., and Zachariah Vest.

Steve was a graduate of Huntington High School and a veteran of the United States Army.  He was the owner and operator of Vest Construction, and enjoyed going to Sprint Car races.

Memorial contributions may be made in Steve’s honor to Veterans in Transition.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 7, 2024 at the Columbarium in Greenlawn Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.  Public calling hours will not be observed.
