Stephen C. Smith

Stephen C. Smith, 54, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life on Sunday, May 17, 2009 in Adena Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 23, 1954 in Chillicothe, the son of Franklin C. and Helen F. (Earl) Smith. Surviving is his mother, Helen F. Smith, his companion, Rhonda C. Poling, both of Chillicothe, a daughter, April (Eric) Foster, New Freedom, PA, grandchildren, Nathan, Ben and Abby Foster, a sister, Sharon E. Lang and her companion, Kenny McCloud, an aunt, Ruth Smith, a niece, Kristine E. (Tony) Gallaugher, all of Chillicothe, great nieces, Courtney Lang and fiance, Nick Hay and Morgan and Sydney Gallaugher, numerous cousins and many friends. His father preceded him in death. He was a driver for Barr-Nunn Trucking and was a member of Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church. Steve enjoyed music, trivia and collecting antiques. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2009 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. James Groves officiating. Following cremation, final services will be at the discretion of the family. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday.
