Stephen Lee Hupp

Stephen Lee Hupp, 66, of Parkersburg, WV, passed from this life on Wednesday May 13, 2026 at his residence. He was born on December 19, 1959 in Chillicothe, OH the son of Edwin L. and Shirley I. (Peters) Hupp.

Surviving is his sister Anna (John) Thornton, Kingston, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert E. Hupp.

Stephen was a graduate of Kent State University and Ohio University. He was a college librarian having worked at Penn State University, and most recently West Virginia University. His passion was writing, and was an accomplished author, having published many books. In his free time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and Formula 1 racing.

Stephen’s family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice Care, the physicians and staff of Camden Clark Hospital and Living Water Church. Also, a special thank you to Stephen’s home health aides, Sherry and Kierston.

A private graveside service will be held in Grandview Cemetery at the discretion of the family. Public calling hours will not be observed.
