Shirley A. Puckett

Shirley A. Puckett, 77, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Thursday afternoon, January 10, 2013 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born March 7, 1935 in Chillicothe, the daughter of George and Viola (Seymour) Cravens. On January 17, 1979 she married Chester M. Puckett who preceded her in death June 15, 2008.
Surviving are her daughters, Mariruth Wright and Eunice “Lorey” and husband, David Jenkins, all of Chillicothe; her son, Walter Wright, Grove City, Ohio; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Vivian (Richard) Wright, Lebanon, Ohio, Norma Jean (Charles) Rinehart, Chillicothe, Evelyn (Ronald) Smith, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Saundra Shewalter, Lebanon, Ohio and her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gail Shewalter.
Mrs. Puckett was a retired employee of Kroger’s with 35 years of service. She was a member of Browns Chapel United Methodist Church and attended Clarksburg United Methodist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jerry Caddell officiating. Burial will follow in Browns Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Monday.
