Sharon R. Martin

Sharon Rose Martin, 66, of Chillicothe, unexpectedly passed from this life on Monday evening, Dec. 31, 2007 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born May 19, 1941 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Marcus S. and Eleanor L. Cade. On Sept. 25, 1959 she married Thomas L. Martin who survives. They recently celebrated 48 years together. Also surviving is her mother, Eleanor L. Cade, Chillicothe, a daughter and son-in-law, Catherine L. and Timothy Ritchie, Marietta, OH, a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas C. and Lisa A. Martin, Newark, OH, grandchildren, Eric Ryan Ritchie, Amanda Justice and Tyler McCallister, a great-grandchild, Bailey Justice, brothers and sisters-in-law, Marcus C. and Nancy Cade, Columbus, OH and Daniel L. and Vickie Cade, Gahanna, OH, a brother, Ronald B. Cade, Chillicothe and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Her father preceded her in death. Sharon was an educational aide for the Chillicothe City Schools, serving many years at Smith Middle School and retiring in 2004. She was a poll worker for the Ross Co. Board of Elections and enjoyed photography, travel and gardening. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday. Sharon will be remembered as her husband Tom's best friend and a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
