Sharon J Brown

Sharon Joann Brown, 77, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus following a brief illness.  She was born July 21, 1944, in Chillicothe, the daughter of Charles D. and Geneva A. (Copenhaver) McGarvey.  On September 29, 1963, she married Gerald L. “Jerry” Brown, who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Kimberly L. (Bill) Hart, Adelphi, Tanya Joann (Jym) Moore, Chillicothe, and Bryan David Brown (Todd A. Sapp), Reston, VA; grandchildren, Jordan, Courtney, Philip, Billy, and Katie; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Elijah, Selah, Abby, Billy, Rockii and Timothy; and her feline companion, Bella.  She was preceded in death by her parents, in-law, Omagene and David M. Brown and her brother, Jerry McGarvey.

Sharon was a member of Brookside Church.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, walking, and her cats.  She especially enjoyed traveling to the Smokey Mountains with her husband, Jerry.

The family would like to thank the staff and physicians of Riverside Methodist Hospital for all their care and kindness during Sharon’s illness.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 3, 2021, in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Jack Norman officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Friday.  The service will be live streamed on the funeral home website, www.fawcett-plamer.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Brookside Church.
