Sciota Jones

Sciota Jones, 94, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Saturday afternoon, Oct. 27, 2007 in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. She was born Aug. 19, 1913 in Ross County, the daughter of Fred and Florence (Southers) Snyder. On Aug. 10, 1934 she married Raymond Jones who preceded her in death in 1952. Surviving is a daughter and son-in-law, Goldie Mae and Ellsworth F. Colby, Chillicothe, a son and daughter-in-law, Paul R. and Joanna Jones, Chillicothe, a son, Harry D. Jones, Circleville, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchild and great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Gayle Holbrook, Chillicothe. Her parents, 2 step-sons, a grandchild, 2 sisters and 4 brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Jones was an employee of the Ohio Motel for 20 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. George Vastine officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday.
