Sadie I. Evans

Sadie I. Evans, 87, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Sunday morning, Apr. 1, 2007 in Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born Nov. 25, 1919 in Ross County, the daughter of Alexander and Mary Ann (Boltinghouse) Dearth. On Dec. 24, 1971 she married Alexander H. Evans who preceded her in death in 2005. Surviving is a step-daughter, Janine Evans Papaleo, Newport, WA, step-sons, Stephen Evans and Don Evans, both of CA, 3 step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild, a brother, Sterling Dearth, Stockton, CA, special nephews whom she raised, Chuck and Carl Seymour, both of FL, special nephew, Michael Dearth, Jackson, OH and a host of nieces and nephews. Her parents, sisters, Nellie Cochran and Mary Seymour and brothers, Howard, Forrest, Clinton, Charles, Earl and Donald Dearth preceded her in death. Mrs. Evans was an employee of US Shoe Corp., retiring in 1982. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, Apr. 5, 2007 in the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Tad Grover officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday
