Ruth Ann (Woods) Peoples

Ruth Ann Peoples, 67 of Chillicothe passed from this life on Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. She was born April 26, 1950 in Chillicothe, the daughter of Jennie Woods. On February 14, 1974 she married Virgil R. Peoples who preceded her in death March 19, 1999.
She was the beloved mother of her children, Ruth Lauwers, Marjorie Peoples (Charles Dollarhide),
Virgil R. Peoples (“daughter-in-law”Heaven Hughes), and John Peoples; “adopted” sons, Brandon Markley and Mike Moder, all of Chillicothe; 7 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, a daughter, Babely Peoples and a son-in-law, Tom Lauwers.
Mrs. Peoples attended Open Door Church and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Stanley Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday.
