Ruth B. Schumaker

Ruth Bell Schumaker, 88, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Wednesday evening, Apr. 22, 2009 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. She was born Oct. 17, 1920 in Ross County, the daughter of Nathan and Dorothy (Rhinehart) Siler. On Apr. 23, 1938 she married Harold J. Schumaker who preceded her in death May 3, 1991. Surviving is a daughter, Loretta Cheryl and husband, John Israel, Sandusky, OH, sons, Neal and wife, Betty Schumaker, Pataskala, OH, Gary Schumaker, Chillicothe, Donald and wife, Betty Schumaker, Los Angeles, CA, Rex and wife, Helen Schumaker, Chillicothe and Eric and wife Rhonda Schumaker, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Brad, Scott, Kim, Shannon, Keith, Julie, Russell, Cindy, Candy, Heath, Christopher, Farrah, Shane, Megan, Otto and Tami, 23 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Charlotte Beeler, Chillicothe. Her parents, a son, Harold J. Schumaker, Jr., and sisters, Elizabeth Adkins and Lucille Kisor preceded her in death. Mrs. Schumaker was a representative for Stanley Products for 30 years. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday, Apr. 25, 2009 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Roger Butler officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Saturday.
