Ruth B. Mullins

Ruth B. Mullins, 88, of Bellefontaine, formerly of Chillicothe passed from this life Thursday afternoon, Sept. 25, 2008 in Heartland of Bellefontaine following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, Sept. 29, 2008 in Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Russ Hamilton officiating. Calling hours will not be observed. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family. Mrs. Mullins was born Feb. 1, 1920 in Logan County, WV, the daughter of Harley and Victoria (Grimmett) Browning. On Mar. 9, 1942 she married Harry Mullins who preceded her in death Jan. 15, 1988. She and her husband and children lived in New Mexico, Alaska, Texas, West Virginia and Ohio. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Linda Mullins, Bellefontaine, grandsons and wives, Chad and Mindy Mullins, Bellefontaine and Mike and Lena Mullins, Seattle, WA and great-grandchildren, Taryn and Avery Mullins, Bellefontaine. Her parents, a sister, Dora and brothers, Buster, James, Robert, George and Roy preceded her in death. Mrs. Mullins was a homemaker and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church in Chillicothe and a current member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bellefontaine. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
