Rosemary Rodel

Rosemary Rodel, 85, of Chillicothe passed from this life Monday morning, June 4, 2007 in Westmoreland Place following a brief illness. She was born Aug. 23, 1921 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Harry Edwin and Mary Lucille (Wayne) Jones. Her husband, Clyde E. Rodel preceded her in death in 1970. Surviving is a son, James C. Rodel, Homer, AK, grandchildren, Janet, Aaron, Robert and Robin Rodel, a great-grandchild, David Rodel, a niece, Diane (Loren) Mead, N. Fort Myers, FL, nephews, John (Carol) Slagle, Chillicothe and Michael Slagle,Frankfort and several other nieces and nephews. Her parents, grandchildren, Tracy and Carrie, sisters, Dolores and Leonore and brothers, Joseph, James and Robert preceded her in death. Rosemary was a supervisor in the clothing industry before her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, a long time member of the choir and the Circle of Our Lady. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00 noon on Friday, June 8, 2007 in St. Peter's Church with Fr. William Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 10:30 am until the hour of service on Friday, where a Wake Service will be observed at 11:00 am.
