Ronald D. Robinson

Ronald Darrell Robinson, 72, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Tuesday morning, Jan 15, 2008 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born Oct. 2, 1935 in Chillicothe, the, the son of Charles S. and Ruth (Doles) Robinson. On Sept. 29, 1972 he married Bonnie F. Chaffin who survives. Also surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal L. and David A. Hill and Kari R. and Calvin Mercer, all of Chillicothe, a grandchild, April Hill, a sister, Carma Jane Ritchie, Jacksonville, FL, a brother and sister-in-law, Donald J. and Carol Robinson, Chillicothe, an aunt and a host of nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Robinson was an employee of DuPont with 35 years of service, retiring in 1993. A Navy veteran, he served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and AMVETS and was an avid euchre player. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, Jan 18, 2008 in the Rising Son Church, 10756 Hayesville Rd., Kingston with Rev. Fred Chaffin and Rev. Shirley Justice officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston with military honors by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday. The Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home is serving the family.
