Ron L. Brown

Ron L. Brown, 74 of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Tuesday evening, June 10, 2008 following a brief illness. He was born June 22, 1933 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Lewis A. and Loretta A. (Scheeler) Brown. Surviving is his loving wife of 45 years, Petrea "Sue" (Frey) Brown, children, Amy Drummond, Dayton, OH, Jason (Cheryl) Brown, Carnegie, PA and Emily (Chris) Thackery, Hilliard, OH, grandsons, Zachery and Jesse Brown and Alex Thackery, brothers, Don I. (Pat) Brown, Warsaw, IN and J. William "Bill" (Ginny) Brown, Kingston and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents preceded him in death. Ron was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1951. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy in San Diego, CA and Washington, DC. Following his service to his country, he joined Mead Paper in Dayton, OH and transferred the Chillicothe Mill in 1963, where he worked until his retirement. He was a long time member of Walnut Street United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 14, 2008. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery with military rites by the Ross County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the Fawcett Oliver Glass and Palmer Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
