Robert Rupert

Robert R. Rupert, 89, of Chillicothe, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, June 12, 2008 in Heartland of Chillicothe following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 7, 1918 in Circleville, OH, the son of Charles H. and Nellie B. (Hughes) Rupert. On Nov. 1, 1947 he married Loreta K. Westlake who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Roberta K. Rupert, Xenia, OH, a son, John R. "Jack" Rupert, Chillicothe, grandchildren, Daniel R. Rupert and Heather M. (Tom) Burton, nieces, Wilma Liebe and Zelma Leach, both of Chillicothe and a host of friends. His parents, 2 sisters and a brother preceded him in death. Mr. Rupert was an employee of Mead Paper, retiring in 1983 and was a member Local 731, UPIU and the Mead Retiree's Club A WW II veteran; he served in the U.S. Army in Europe. He was a member of Faith Chapel Church, serving as a Deacon and a member of the Church Visitation Team. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, June 17, 2008 in the Faith Chapel Church with Pastor Thomas Kramer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday.
