Robert R. Oldaker

Robert R. Oldaker, 87, of Chillicothe, passed from this life Wednesday March 15, 2023 in National Church Residences of Chillicothe.  He was born on March 27, 1935 in Chillicothe, to the late Everett R. and Josephine (Penrod) Oldaker.

Surviving are his daughters, Linda (Jeffrey) Kane, Vicki Diehl, and Kyra (Paul) Dickerson, all of Chillicothe, grandchildren, Crystal Miller, Jeffrey A. (Heather) Kane, Angela Johnson, Mark (Aya) Diehl, Dylan Dickerson, and Dakota Dickerson, great-grandchildren, Taylor Miller, Brandon Kane, Kinsley Kane, Trenton Kane, Meliah Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Brianna Johnson, and Julian Dickerson, and cousins, Elaine Mulford, and Dorothy Strouse.  He was preceded in death by many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his dog, Gracie.

Robert had worked for the V.A. Medical Center, as a Rehab Specialist, then went on to work for CCI, as a Corrections Officer, retiring in 1980.  He had been a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and Church Triumphant.  Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He loved the Lord and testified where ever he went.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and aides at Hopeton Village, National Church Residences, and NCR Hospice for their wonderful care of Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday March 21, 2023 in the FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS AND PALMER FUNERAL HOME with Pastors Harry Harrel and Aaron Hines, officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.  Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
