Robert "Bob" Mcnish

Robert “Bob” McNish, 97 of Chillicothe, passed from this life 11:38 PM, Monday August 15, 2016 in the Genesis Circleville Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born June 5, 1919, in Columbus, the son of the late Leroy and the late Jessie Mae Robinson McNish. On July 27, 1948 he married Kathleen R. Rhinehart McNish who preceded him in death November 29, 1995.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Mark A. and Pamela K. McNish, Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren, Danielle (Brad Minney)McNish, Mark E. (Kasey) McNish, Sherry (Mike) Frontz, and Jason (Beth) Sims; 11 great-grandchildren, and a brother Harold McNish, Columbus. His wife, parents and one brother Kenny McNish preceded him in death.
Bob was retired from the former Goodyear Atomic Plant where he had served in the Fire Protection Division for over 30 years. He was a volunteer fire fighter for Scioto Township, a member of the Chillicothe Kiwanis Club, and a faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Men’s Brotherhood. He served our country in the US Army during the WWII era where he served in the Rhineland and Central European Theater.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, August 20, 2016, in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with Pastor Kurt King officiating. The FAWCETT OLIVER GLASS & PALMER Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
